We have cultivated a team of industry experts to form one of the most experienced (and, dare we say, most attractive and fun) recruiting agencies. Our team is passionate about helping our English Teachers experience an adventure of a lifetime.

They say that ‘teamwork makes the dream work’ and at Adventure Teaching, this is certainly the case.  What makes us so special? Simple: every member of the Adventure Teaching team has lived and taught overseas. We are uniquely aware and interested in the needs and desires of each teacher because, well, we were all once teachers too!

Co-Founder / Big Cheese
I’m Reuben. I moved back to Canada after 6 years of teaching and working out of our AT office in Korea (which is quite something considering that my wife and I were only supposed to be there for 1 year!). I taught for 2 years at a hagwon and 1 year at an international school, both of which I loved and will never forget. After my first 2 years in Korea, I co-founded Adventure Teaching in hopes that others would have the opportunity to experience what I did!

General Manager

Hey, I’m Kelly! At 15 years old I moved to the UK with my family for two years. That early move planted a seed of exploration and curiosity in my life that is still present today. The curiosity and courage to explore mixed with my own love of learning took me back to the UK to study for my Master’s, it helped me learn about the culture and customs in Kenya, it led me to teach English in Guatemala, it brought me to the foothills of Scotland, to the back country farms of Myanmar and to the city centers of Seoul and New York. Adventuring has taught me to be a better learner and has helped me articulate my love of education! I highly recommend setting out with purpose, even if it is up the local north shore mountains of Vancouver.

Placement Coordinator

Hey, I’m Gina! The allure of travel and adventure has been a strong pull in my life! At a young age I found myself in Mexico, the DR and back alleys of Chicago for humanitarian projects that imprinted in me the value of new people and places for learning. That eventually launched me into moving across the country for school where I was taught and taught others, and also to Italy, Australia and Israel where I was able to invest in others by education and left those experiences changed. Whether it’s locally, or across the world, I strongly believe in the power of education and adventure to enrich and change your life forever.

Hey, I’m Brittni! Out of high school I took a gap year where I spent a few months living in Switzerland and then Thailand, where I was honored to teach English, run after-school camps and volunteer with various non-profit organizations. These experiences deeply shaped me and made me realize how transformational learning about other countries, cultures and people can be. I believe we grow the most as people when we leave our comfort zones. Whether it’s adventuring abroad or in your backyard, I’ve found experiencing the world can be one of the best ways to do this!!
