We have cultivated a team of industry experts to form one of the most experienced (and, dare we say, most attractive and fun) recruiting agencies. Our team is passionate about helping our English Teachers experience an adventure of a lifetime.

They say that ‘teamwork makes the dream work’ and at Adventure Teaching, this is certainly the case.  What makes us so special? Simple: every member of the Adventure Teaching team has lived and taught overseas. We are uniquely aware and interested in the needs and desires of each teacher because, well, we were all once teachers too!

Co-Founder / Big Cheese
I’m Reuben. I moved back to Canada after 6 years of teaching and working out of our AT office in Korea (which is quite something considering that my wife and I were only supposed to be there for 1 year!). I taught for 2 years at a hagwon and 1 year at an international school, both of which I loved and will never forget. After my first 2 years in Korea, I co-founded Adventure Teaching in hopes that others would have the opportunity to experience what I did!

Placement Coordinator

Hi, I’m Katie! My love for travel began in college, where I spent a semester abroad in Europe, traveling to a new country every week. After college, I decided that I needed to explore more of the world and decided to teach overseas. From a friend’s recommendation, I went through Adventure Teaching, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. My only regret is that I didn’t stay in Korea longer. I fell in love with the food, the people, and the culture. Don’t get me wrong, teaching kids is not for the faint of heart, but my experiences made me enjoy my job. Since then, I have worked with Adventure Teaching in various capacities, with the most recent position as the Placement Coordinator. I’m excited to help you start your journey of teaching overseas!

Admissions Coordinator

Hi, I’m Tayla! I taught with Adventure Teaching right after I completed college per a friends recommendation and although it was a big (kinda scary!) move it has been a highlight of my life so far for so many reasons. I learned so much about myself, about South Korea and the amazing people there and even met my husband abroad! I’ve always loved traveling and exploring new cultures but living abroad for an extended amount of time was even more rewarding. Now I get to be a part of helping others live and teach abroad so they too can have a life changing experience – I love it!
