We have cultivated a team of industry experts to form one of the most experienced (and, dare we say, most attractive and fun) recruiting agencies. Our team is passionate about helping our English Teachers experience an adventure of a lifetime.
They say that ‘teamwork makes the dream work’ and at Adventure Teaching, this is certainly the case. What makes us so special? Simple: every member of the Adventure Teaching team has lived and taught overseas. We are uniquely aware and interested in the needs and desires of each teacher because, well, we were all once teachers too!
Interests: I’m a sucker for just about anything that has to do with food. Especially Korean food. I always love some good, healthy competition (just a warning: I usually win) and all things sports-related. Stop by our office for a dart game sometime! I’ll go easy on you, I promise…

impact of living, working and experiencing new cultures is infectious, as once you start, it’s hard to stop! Asia holds a special place in my heart as it was the first region I really explored as an expat and I’m so excited that you will also get to experience firsthand this wonderful culture, people and tradition.
Interests: Learning! Languages, countries, people, games, restaurants, books – I want to know it all…and I’m almost there.

Hi, I’m Katie and I am part of the admissions team with Adventure Teaching. I taught English in South Korea for one year in 2009. I used AT to get me a teaching position and was so impressed with the company I wanted to be part of the team after I got back to the United States. AT’s tag line “you should probably do this” is spot on – it takes courage and a desire for adventure to move across the ocean but it’s an adventure that is so worth it.
Interests: I’m currently living in Colorado and fully take advantage of all the outdoor activities the Rockies have to offer. I like sitting in airports and people watching and reminiscing over a good drink.
Location: Colorado, USA
I first moved to Korea in 2009, after a few years of teaching ESL in Southern California. In fact, I would never have considered moving to Korea, but the awesome folks at AT made the process so accessible, and really encouraged me to try something a little out of my comfort zone. And… well, it’s been an amazing chapter of my life for sure! I’ve lived in Korea for over 6 years now, worked two jobs, lived in 3 cities, and met my husband. One of the best things about living abroad is the incredible people that you get to meet, and I feel so blessed to have met so many lifelong friends during this adventure. Now, I love being able to share my experience with others that are considering making the move to Asia.
Interests: Riding my scooter all over Seoul, coaching soccer with my husband, trying to grow vegetables in our garden, and hanging out with our grumpy cat (when she decides to give us attention). On cold winter days you can also find me watching terrible movies while knitting socks.
Location: Seoul, South Korea
